A look back at Notaro Care Home’s 2023 Summer, the residents and staff have been filled with laughter and joy, enriched with a vast range of activities thoughtfully organised by our teams! This season, we’ve been busy with beach trips, garden parties, bear hunts, and more, ensuring we made the most of the nice weather when it graced us with its presence.

In the early transition from Spring to Summer, the residents at Casa di Lusso had a go at flower arranging! This activity is an art in itself and provides a therapeutic and creative outlet for residents. With an array of blooms at their disposal, residents crafted beautiful bouquets, and the home was left bursting with colour and floral scents.

Garden party galore at Immacolata House!

The gardens and grounds at Immacolata House transformed into vibrant settings for food and activities, and of course as soon we take it outside, it becomes a party! Residents, and staff alike enjoyed cream teas complete with all the favourite treats and an entertainer for the afternoon. It’s safe to say the atmosphere was lovely and they enjoyed plenty of laughs.

Here are some pictures of Immacolata House’s garden party:

Beach Trips

The soothing sound of waves, the soft touch of sand, and the taste of delicious ice cream – our beach trips became a highlight of the summer. Casa di Lusso residents enjoyed the weather in Burnham-on-Sea in May.

La Fontana went on a Bear Hunt!

A day of excitement unfolded with a bear hunt, bringing out the childlike wonder in the residents. The thrill of the search, the anticipation of discovery, and the joy of finding hidden teddy bears throughout the care home provided a sense of adventure and accomplishment.

Clarence Park went for a picnic in the park

The team at Clarence Park went above and beyond by giving up their own time to take residents to a picnic in the park. The picnic was a treat featuring delicious ice creams and cake. Residents’ family members also joined in the fun and the team received a lovely thank you letter following the event.

Stuart House were visited by an ice cream van!

Stuart House enjoyed a visit from an Italian Gelato Van. The weather was just perfect and the smiles on residents’ faces were even brighter as they indulged in a variety of flavoured ice creams.

A Summer for the books! A truly special few months for all the team and residents. We now look forward to all the changing season brings – our activities team certainly set the bar high! Here’s to the memories created and the many more yet to come.
