La Fontana, Casa di Lusso and Campania ARBD care homes turned pink for Breast Cancer Awareness.
In a vibrant display of solidarity, our homes turned a delightful shade of pink on Friday, October 20th, as they enthusiastically participated in Wear it Pink Day for Breast Cancer. The atmosphere was filled with love, compassion, and a shared commitment to raising funds for this crucial cause. Residents and staff alike joined forces, creating a memorable day that not only brought smiles but also contributed meaningfully to the fight against breast cancer.
A Sea of Pink
The turnout for Wear it Pink Day in the homes was great. The care homes, in light of Mattel’s 2023 Barbie movie release, could lay the foundation for a sequel… Residents and staff turned out in various shades of pink, creating a sea of rosy hues that echoed the unified support for breast cancer awareness.
Activities for the day
La Fontana’s creative residents showcased their talents by lending a helping hand for the cause. Delicate pink bracelets and intricate hair braids were crafted, adding a personal touch to the day’s events. The communal effort extended to the creation of vibrant pink banners that were put up around the nursing home, creating an uplifting atmosphere. To sweeten
the occasion, special pink cupcakes were baked special, adding a delicious touch to the celebration. Similar delicious treats were created in Casa di Lusso and Campania to mark the day and raise awareness.
Staff Involvement
The spirit of Wear it Pink Day didn’t stop at the residents. Devoted staff members wholeheartedly embraced the cause. Some even went the extra mile by purchasing pink tops specifically for this special day.
A Heartfelt Thank You
Well done and thank you to all of the homes who took part and helped to raise awareness of breast cancer.
